Questions, answered plainly.
Does Real Shot replace my scope's turret or reticle?
No — it works alongside whichever you already use. Tell us when you configure yours and your strip is printed to match: standard turret clicks (MOA or Mils), or holdover marks to suit a ballistic reticle.
Is it waterproof?
Yes — the printed data strip that slots into the reel is waterproof, built for New Zealand hunting conditions.
Does it need batteries or a phone signal?
No. Real Shot is a fully mechanical device that clamps to your scope tube or rifle receiver. It works exactly the same in the rain, in the cold, or with no signal at all.
Which rifles and scopes does it fit?
Most hunting setups, via four mount options: R1 and R2 clamp into scope rings (side or low profile), B1 fits a Weaver/Picatinny rail, and B2 suits rimfire and air-rifle dovetail bases. Not sure which one? There's a quick finder on the Shop page, and Allan checks every order regardless.
What information do you need from me to build one?
Your bullet type, weight and ballistic coefficient, muzzle velocity, zero distance, and approximate hunting altitude — plus whether your scope turret is in MOA or Mils, and whether you'd rather read metric or yards. All of this is collected on the Configure Your Reel form.
Do I pay before or after my order is checked?
After. You submit your configuration first — nothing is charged. Allan reviews it personally to confirm it's correct and buildable, then sends an invoice. Only once that's paid does he print the strip, build the reel, and dispatch it.
How long does an order take?
[PLACEHOLDER — typical turnaround from confirmed order to dispatch]
What if my rifle, scope, or load changes later?
Order a replacement or updated data strip rather than a whole new reel — available from the Shop page.
Do you ship outside New Zealand?
[PLACEHOLDER — confirm international shipping details; see Shipping & Warranty page]
